Privacy - ByteBeam - An Overview
ByteBeam.com is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of Internet users who choose to our web pages and take advantage of our interactive products and services. We want to contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for all our visitors and clients.

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you, as a welcome visitor or client, what kinds of information we may gather about you when you visit our web, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct, the information we may collect. This privacy policy applies to the web site and other Internet-accessible Byte Beam services like ils.ByteBeam.com directory service that incorporate this policy (although we will refer here only as ByteBeam to make reading this policy easier). Please note that this policy applies only to ByteBeam.com, and not to other companies or organization web sites to which we link.

Information About All our Clients and Visitors
In general, our site automatically gathers certain usage information like the numbers and frequency of visitors to our web pages and services. We only use such data in the aggregate. This aggregate data helps us determine how often our customers use parts of the site, so we can improve our site to assure that it is as appealing as we can make it for as many of you as possible. For example, we may use a technology nicknamed "cookies" that tells us how and when pages in our site are visited, and by how many people. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information and we do not combine information collected through these cookies with other personally identifiable information to tell us who you are or even what your screen name or e-mail address is. All financial transactions are handled through the SECURE PayPal system. We do not accept financial related information directly on our web pages. We also may provide statistical "ratings" information, never information about you personally, to our affiliates about how our clients, collectively, use the site. We do this so they too can understand how often people use their areas and our site in order for them to provide you with the best possible web experience as well. Finally, we and our affiliates may also use cookies, as well as small pieces of code called "web beacons" or "clear gifs," or web page scripts to determine, on an anonymous basis, how frequently web pages are being used, which advertisements and promotions users have seen and how users responded to them, but do not use these technologies to collect personally identifiable information unless you give us permission. We may request specific personal information about you, when you choose to use one or more of our interactive services. For example, if you request or order a particular service or product, like the Video Search or Heavens related services, the personal information is held in strict confidence, and used only to communicate with you regarding the service or product. This type of personal information is protected by our privacy policy and is not shared with anyone else.

Directory monitoring, and audio/video/chat call control
When you access any our directory service, personal information that you provide in your login, such as name, screen name, email address, IP address, location and comments may be visible to other users.

We reserve the right to edit, modify, and/or remove any information. We make a concerted effort to maintain the 'acceptable' content of our directories.
This is done, at our sole discretion, to maintain the directories to 'general audience' viewer standards.

We do not monitor, record or control the content of audio/video/chat conferences of users.
Accepting or rejecting any audio/video/chat conference call is your sole responsibility as a system user.
The content and privacy of audio/video/chat conferences is governed by U.S. constitutional law.
We may specifically ask for information about you when you sign up as a customer to use our services, or when you order a product. We will need certain information — such as name, Internet address and/or screen name, billing address, type of computer, credit card number — in order to provide that service or product to you. We may also use that information to let you know of additional products and services about which you might be interested. You can choose not to receive such information by letting us know on the customer registration screen or when you order products or services. We may ask you for information about your interests so that both you and we can take advantage of the interactivity of the online medium. Additionally, we may provide you with an opportunity to be individually listed in a special interest directory. We also may use cookie technology in order to improve your experience, to remember your preferences or customized settings when you use ByteBeam related services, and to authenticate your access to your personal information.

Disclosure
Information you provide when you logon to any ByteBeam directory, is visible to the general public but we do not use or disclose information about your individual visits to ByteBeam or customer information that you may give us on ByteBeam to any outside companies. ByteBeam may share such information in response to legal process, such as a court order or subpoena, or in special cases such as a physical threat to you or others. We may share with our web site partners aggregated statistical "ratings" information about the use of ByteBeam.

Byte Beam takes special care to protect the safety and privacy of young people using our services, and strongly encourage parents to participate in your child's Internet use.
